Eligibility Criteria for TES 2023

To be eligible for the TES 2023 examination, candidates must meet certain criteria set by the Indian Army. The eligibility criteria include the following:

      • Visual Acuity: Candidates should have good binocular vision. The minimum acceptable vision standards are 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other, without the need for correction (i.e., without glasses or contact lenses).
      • Color Vision: Candidates must have normal color vision, as determined by the Ishihara test or other prescribed color vision tests.
      • Physique: Candidates should have a well-developed physique with no evidence of underweight or overweight conditions. They should also have a minimum height of 157.5 cm (for men) and 152 cm (for women).
      • Hearing Ability: Candidates should have normal hearing ability, without any significant hearing loss.

  1. Basic Military Training – they have basic military training of 1 year at OTA Gaya
  2. Technical Training – the technical training is divided into 2 parts
    • Pre-Commissioning Training of 3 years and Post-commissioning Training of 1 year at CME, Pune or MCTE, Mhow or MCEME, Secundrabad.
