The procedure of GD at SSB Interview

  • Group Discussion is the first task that is conducted by the Group Testing Officer (GTO) on the third and fourth day of the SSB Interview.
  • A complete batch of screen-in Candidates is dived into smaller groups of 10-12 members and the rest of the tasks of GTO are conducted within this group.
  • In this task, The GTO conducts two GDs of 20-25 minutes each, with a very small time gap between the two.
  • For the first group discussion, the GTO will give the group 2 topics which will be based on the average intelligence level of the candidates in the group.
  • The group has to decide the topic and inform the GTO.
  • The GTO will repeat the topic and will inform them to start the discussion.

  • Once the time is over, the GTO will stop the discussion and will take the group to the next task.
